Why Book Wedding Photography AND Videography? Because Some Memories Deserve to Move

Your first dance deserves more than a snapshot — video captures every spin, smile, and step

I hear a lot of couples, particularly in the UK, debating whether they should book photography only, or whether they should also include videography to capture their day. It’s a difficult decision — after all, weddings are expensive, and extras like videography are often the first to go when budgets tighten.

I get it. It’s a lot. But after all the time and love you pour into planning your wedding — choosing what to wear, designing your day, and gathering your favourite people — it’s worth asking:

Do you want to remember how it looked? Or how it felt?

Photography does a beautiful job of preserving moments in time. Your prints and albums become treasured keepsakes. But still images can only go so far. They miss the movement. The sound. The shared laugh between lifelong friends. The cheers erupting after the speeches. The wild dancing from someone who swore they “didn’t dance.” The voice of someone you might not get to hear often — or ever again.

That’s what videography brings. It doesn’t replace photography — it deepens it. Enhances it. It adds context, emotion, and a whole new layer to your story.

Bride’s father seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time, arms open in emotional surprise.
That once-in-a-lifetime reaction – a moment like this is powerful in a photo, but unforgettable on film.

That’s why I offer hybrid wedding photography and videography collections — so you don’t have to choose between stillness and motion. You can opt for a short, heartfelt highlights video, or go further and include your full ceremony and speeches. These aren’t just videos — they’re part of your legacy. Something you’ll revisit with your partner, your children, maybe even your grandchildren.

Bridesmaids in blue dresses and a young flower girl waiting at the ceremony entrance, holding bouquets and smiling.
The anticipation, the nervous smiles, the atmosphere — moments like these are made for motion.

And because I offer hybrid coverage, it’s more accessible than hiring two separate teams. I shoot solo by default (unless you’d like to add a second creative), which means no intrusive production setups and no directing your day like a film set. You stay present, relaxed, and able to soak it all in — and I quietly capture the real, meaningful moments as they unfold.

If you’re still on the fence, there’s never been a better time to secure your date:

👉 I’m currently offering 20% off all collections, when you book before 31st May 2025.

Because some memories deserve to move, to breathe, to live again.
