Wedding Photography, Videography & Hybrid Capture FAQs – Fresh Eye Weddings

Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming — but I’m here to make sure your photography, videography, or hybrid capture experience feels simple, relaxed, and enjoyable. Below are some of the questions I’m most often asked about my natural, candid, and unposed approach. I’m proudly LGBTQ+ inclusive and accessibility friendly, so whoever you are and however you celebrate, you’re welcome here. If you’d like to chat through anything else, just drop me an email at hannah@fresheyeweddings.com

Do you photograph and film LGBTQ+ weddings?

Absolutely, yes. Love is love, and it deserves to be celebrated and captured in all its forms. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, it’s important to me that couples feel safe, comfortable, and fully represented in their photos and films.

What’s your photography and videography style?

My approach is natural and documentary-led. I capture your day as it unfolds, focusing on real moments, emotions, and the story of your day. You won’t find me staging endless poses or interrupting your flow — instead, I blend in, so your gallery feels authentic, timeless, and full of life.

Can we book photography, videography, or both?

Yes! I offer three collections — The Keepsake, The Chronicle, and The Legacy — and each is available as photography, videography, or a hybrid package combining both. You can explore my collections here.

How far in advance should we book you?

Most couples book me 12–18 months ahead of their date, but if your wedding is sooner, do still get in touch — I sometimes have availability for late bookings.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I’m based in Dorset but cover the whole of the UK (and happily travel abroad for destination weddings too). Travel is included in my packages within Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire. For further afield weddings, we’ll agree a fair travel cost together.

How do we secure our date?

A signed contract and a non-refundable booking fee of £500 secures your date. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding, though instalment plans are also available at no extra cost.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I know weddings are a big investment, so I offer flexible payment options to help spread the cost.

  • Direct Debit: Most couples choose to set up a simple Direct Debit, which automatically collects your instalments on the agreed dates—easy and stress-free.

  • Flexible Payment Plans: If you’d prefer, we can tailor a plan to suit your budget. For example, you can choose monthly, quarterly, or milestone-based payments (e.g. deposit, midway, final balance).

The only requirement is that your balance is paid in full no later than 30 days before your wedding date.

Will we meet before the wedding?

Definitely. I like to connect with couples in the way that suits you best — whether that’s a face-to-face chat, a Zoom call, or email. About 6–8 weeks before your wedding, I’ll also send you a final questionnaire so I have all the details and group shot requests covered.

How long will it take to receive our photos and videos?

Your full gallery will be ready within 6–8 weeks of your wedding (often sooner outside of peak season). I’ll always share a handful of previews within a few days so you have something to enjoy straight away.

How do we receive our gallery?

You’ll receive a secure online gallery where you can view, share, and download your images and films. The gallery stays live for at least a year, and you can extend it beyond that if you’d like. You can also order prints, albums, and keepsakes directly from the gallery.

Do you work with second shooters?

Yes, depending on the collection and the size of your wedding. Having a second shooter means we can capture different angles and moments happening at the same time — for example, both of you getting ready in the morning.

What happens if you’re ill or an emergency comes up?

I take every measure to be there on your day, but in the very unlikely event I couldn’t attend, I have a trusted network of professional photographers and videographers who share my style and approach. I would ensure you’re fully covered.

Do you have insurance?

Yes — I’m fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity. This protects both you and me on the day.

Do you carry backup equipment? Always. I bring multiple cameras, lenses, and memory cards so that even if something technical were to fail, your wedding will still be captured beautifully.

Will there be a contract?

Yes — every booking is secured with a clear contract. This protects us both, outlines everything included in your collection, and gives you peace of mind.

What about music licensing for videos?

Any highlight films I create for you will be edited with fully licensed music, so you can safely share them online with friends and family.

I hope these FAQs have helped answer some of your questions — but if there’s anything else you’d like to know, I’d love to hear from you. Every wedding is unique, and I’m always happy to chat through your plans and how I can capture them.
