A Unique Dorset Wedding by the Sea
Donna and Wally chose the atmospheric St Aldhelm’s Chapel in Worth Matravers, Swanage, as the setting for their wedding — one of the most dramatic spots on the Dorset coastline. Perched high above the cliffs, this ancient stone chapel provided a breathtaking backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and natural moments.
As a Dorset wedding photographer and videographer, I had the joy of capturing their story through both still photographs and a cinematic highlight film, offering them the best of both worlds with my hybrid approach.
Wedding Highlight Film
Arrivals & Ceremony
Donna arrived with the sea breeze catching her veil, walking across windswept fields with her father and bridesmaids before stepping inside the candlelit chapel. The ceremony was heartfelt, intimate, and full of character — vows exchanged against the chapel’s ancient stone walls created a timeless atmosphere.

Confetti & Coastal Celebrations
Exiting to cheers, Donna and Wally were showered with confetti by their guests outside the chapel doors. Afterwards, we explored the coastal path together, where the Dorset cliffs and sea views created unforgettable backdrops. Their laughter and relaxed energy made for natural, documentary-style images.

Reception & Joyful Moments
The celebrations continued in a marquee filled with colour, bunting, and homemade details. From laughter during speeches to the cutting of their cakes, every detail reflected Donna & Wally’s personalities and the warmth of their family and friends.

How Hybrid Photography and Videography Coverage Works
Many couples ask how I manage to film and photograph at the same time. The answer is simple: I mount my video camera on top of my photography camera, ensuring I never miss a moment. This allows me to deliver both high-quality photographs and cinematic wedding films while remaining discreet and unobtrusive.
Because I work solo, it’s also a more cost-effective option than hiring separate suppliers — but without compromising on quality. I’ve been shooting both photography and videography for years, so hybrid isn’t a trend for me; it’s a craft I’ve refined to give couples the complete story of their day.

Final Thoughts
Donna & Wally’s wedding at St Aldhelm’s Chapel was a perfect example of why I love offering hybrid wedding photography and videography in Dorset. From timeless photos to a heartfelt highlight film, every memory was captured in a natural, documentary style.
